Weekend Warriors

Husband and I had a busy weekend painting our guest bedroom. We are getting ready to paint our whole house and I have never painted before, so the guest room was a good place to practice!

Husband went to the store for some supplies and come home with flowers! He is the best.

I love alstroemerias and they last forever. They are the perfect flowers!

EATS
After all my painting practice it was time to eat and I cooked! Kind of…

Now, I know that I said that that making Three Cheese Chicken Bird’s Eye Voila, but this stuff is backed with vegetables, so I don’t feel TOO bad making it!

Look at all that broccoli!

It is a great substitute for macaroni and cheese! The bag comes with 3 servings and only 210 calories per serving.

Like I said…not too bad!

Manic Monday

I did a little breakfast experiment last week and had Honey Almond Flax Kashi Go Lean, Crunch! for breakfast.

Despite the fact that it is filled with yummy goodness, I was hungry an hour later. The good news is that I had my Old Faithful, low sugar oatmeal, in my desk drawer. For some reason, it seems like warm food fills me up more than cold food. So weird!

Based on my findings from last Friday, I started the week out right with coffee cup of oatmeal goodness.

Despite my filling breakfast, I always need a mid-morning snack. Today was a Fudgy Peanut Butter Chip Vitatop. So chocolaty and filling!

Today’s lunch was a PB&J sandwich with celery and carrots. I love getting a couple servings of veggies for lunch. I am usually starving an hour after lunch if I don’t get eat enough vegetables.

My pre-kickboxing snack was one of my favorite Larabars: Peanut Butter & Jelly!

Four ingredients! Lovely!

I found this fortune in my office: You are capable, competent, creative and careful.

Why, thank you, Fortune Cookie Fortune!

It is going to be a great week!

What about you guys? Do you guys save fortune cookie fortunes?

  3. Honey Almond Flax is the best- I go through boxes like there's no tomorrow... :)

And I save the good fortunes in my wallet- if I find them amusing. If I get a pretty generic one, it's sooooo getting tossed.
